Mika has commissioned work from a number of Japanese craftspeople on behalf of Akira Isogawa, one of Australia’s leading fashion designers.  She arranged the production of original textiles from some of Japan’s foremost shibori makers for his 2006 spring/summer collection, had his wooden sandals made by hand in Shizuoka, and engaged Japan’s top make-up brush maker in Hiroshima to make the brushes for Akira’s make-up kit.
